How We Got Here

Our StoryText Dorothy’s Helping Hands Inc. was started October 7, 2013 in honor of our late mother and grandmother Mrs. Dorothy Caldwell, to help those in need.

Dorothy’s helping hands is a nonprofit 501 (c) 3 organization, registered with the state of Georgia and IRS. We are dedicated to improving the quality of life for the homeless and low-income families in the Metro Atlanta area.

We strive to provide children with something to smile about during the holiday season. So each year, we work in conjunction with United Way and Toys for Tots to provide toys to low-income single parents during our Christmas distribution event.

We are very thankful to be able to touch lives in a small way.

Mission Statement:

The mission of Dorothy’s Helping Hands is to lend a helping hand to someone in need by helping them gain and maintain long-term independence.
